DiàlACTS is giving the opportunity to perform in Can Felipa (Barcelona) inside the frame of "Music e-motion Day" on the 26th of March 2010 where we will present 5 choreography pieces selected by DiàlACTS. The selected choreographic pieces will all be based on or derived from other art works from another artistic discipline such as, painting, sculpture, poetry,... and presented next to an exposition of the material used to create the choreographic work.

APPLICATION FORM

DiàlACTS, creations in movement, was born from the necessity of the organizers to create a connection between the choreographic language and the language of other artistic disciplines. This performance night will consist of the propositions of 5 choreographs, each of whom will present one choreographic piece which was derived using another discipline or an art piece from another discipline such as plastic arts, architecture, poetry, music,...
DiàlACTS will give a space to present to an audience the choreographic works chosen next to an exposition of the material from which the pieces derived from.
DiàlACTS, creations in movement, proposes a dialogue between different artistic languages, and is directed to professionals, students and enthusiasts from any kind of art branch.

She was born in Buenos Aires where she got her degree of psychology, in 2000 she moved to Spain where she trained in contemporary dance at Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació (Barcelona). She looks for the interaction between different artistic languages, developing different tools to work with and see the arts. Some of the pieces she created include Erbarme Dich (2009), Eclipse (videodance 2009), As the steel (2008), T (i) EMPO (2007), Stairs Snail (2006), Death of the Poet (2005), Tact (2005). She works as a teacher of dance and yoga, has created the company T (i) empo and realizes the cultural project DiàlACTS, creations in movement. She has studied with: Gustavo Lesgart, Anne Morin, Gema Díaz, David Zambrano, Ted Stoffer, Bebeto Cidra, Sebastián García Ferro, Cecilia Colacrai, Eva Planas, Ana Buitrago, Damián Muñoz, Susan Kempster, Mariana Giustina, among others.

Helena Pellisé (Barcelona, 1981)

Creator, improviser and researcher. She enjoys the wonderful thing which is the daily, these small ephemeral actions that the body realizes without realizing, and at the same time unique and unrepeatable. She works principally through improvisation as a body skill and an experimental practice that opens different states of conscience. The majority of her investigations take place in public spaces or in nature. Her triangle of activety is between Spain, Germany and Israel. Nowadays she performs, teaches improvisation for children and adults and realizes different artistic projects (CUE Barcelona, DiàlACTS, Interventions and PLAY). She organizes different laboratories and workshops for the mobility of international artists. She directs the cultural association Space between, with which she intends to give a space for collaborations between different artistic projects related to the art of improvisation. During the course of 2008-2009 she studied an MA in Contemporary Arts Practice and Dissemination in L'Animal a l'esquena. During the course of 2007-2008 she formed a part of the Improvisational Multidisciplinar Performance Art Laboratory with Shahar Dor in Israel, with a scholarship from the AECI. Her contemporary dance education took place in Area, Espai de Dansa i Creació (Barcelona) and in the Institut del Teatre (Centre d'Osona, Vic). She has studied improvisation in Israel, Germany and Catalunya with teachers like Lisa Nelson, Steve Paxton, Scott Smith, Joan Jonas, Shahar Dor, Arye Bursztyn, Tal Avni, Stephanie Maher & Kathleen Hermesdorf, MalPelo, Carme Torrent, Fabiana Capriotti, Helena Lizarí, Ana Buitrago, among others.

REQUERIMENTS 2010

1. The first DiàlACTS will take place in Can Felipa civic centre on the 26th of March 2010 (space conditions).
2. This proposal is open for any individual or collective that will apply with a project that meets with the DiàlACTS definition.
3. To participate the Application Form, Dossier and CD/DVD/links for the project has to be sent to: "Niu_espai artistic contemporani", C/Almogàvers, 208, 08018, Barcelona, or to: dialacts@gmail.com
The dossier will consist of a short description of the project, the participant´s professional path, a representative picture (JPG) of the piece and the choreographer, and/or of the artist which the choreographic piece is based on.
The DVD/CD/links have to contain a part or whole of the piece that is presented, to be included inside the promotional video of DiàlACTS.
4. Applications will be received between 14th of September and 18th of December 2009.
5. The organization will communicate the selected proposals on 18th of January 2010 in the DiàlACTS website www.dialacts.blogspot.com
6. The selected pieces will also have the option to be exposed in "Niu: espai artistic contemporani" and “Area, espai de creació”, inside their respective programs.
7. The organization reserves the right to deal with any situation that might arise and is not included in these requirements according to their own discretion.
8. The organization reserves the right to use the chosen material to make the necessary diffusion (mass media, web, promotional video...).
9. The material of the pieces not selected will be available for collection in Niu_espai artistic contemporani C/Almogàvers, 208, 08018, Barcelona during the week between 25th of January to 5th of February 2010. The projects that are not gathered in these days will be considered to be a property of DiàlACTS and we will have the right to use them at our discretion.
10. By applying for selection you agree to accept all of the conditions and requirements in this document.
